Hi! I'm Jamie, the creative powerhouse behind Element X Imagery. My creative roots go far beyond photography. I've always had a natural pull towards art. Watercolor, embroidery, drawing, and pretty much anything I can make with my hands is my happy place. My time at SIUC Photo Journalism taught me how to tell visual stories with honesty, intuition, and the kind of awareness that can catch moments many people would overlook.

 

Photography has always been more than “pictures” to me. It's intuition, timing, active listening, and human connection. I’m the photographer who reads the vibe without being told a word. I feel the shift when you need a break, when it's time to switch things up, or if you’re uncomfortable. I'm structured when needed, and spontaneous when inspiration strikes. I’m always ready for the kind of “happy accidents” that Bob Ross would be proud of.

I've never been the type of person to fit perfectly into one box or photography genre. It's all the beauty of creation to me. While many photographers specialize in a single niche, I lean into the full spectrum of storytelling and experiences. With solid technical knowledge to back me up, every session is a fresh opportunity to create something honest, expressive, and uniquely yours.
